Jane Straub - CornerHouse Training Director

Jane is the Training Director at CornerHouse Interagency Child Abuse Evaluation and Training Center, with over 25 years of experience in violence prevention and intervention. A national trainer, she specializes in topics such as trauma, child sexual abuse, domestic violence, stalking, trafficking, healthy relationships, and trauma-responsive care. Jane was instrumental in creating the curriculum “From Trauma to Resilience: Fostering Hope through Trauma-Informed Care.” Her diverse training audiences include youth, parents, educators, community leaders, and professionals across various fields. She aims to collaborate with sectors like law enforcement, health, and education to provide coordinated services fostering hope and health for families.

Elizabeth Eagle

Elizabeth has undergraduate degrees in Law Enforcement with an emphasis in Community Violence Prevention and Intervention and a Master’s in Criminal Justice from Metropolitan State University. Prior to joining the CornerHouse team she worked for the Hennepin County Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation, serving in a support capacity for the Mental Health and Veteran’s Courts Programs. In 2016 she took a position with the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office working in Juvenile prosecution. Elizabeth is originally from Ft. Yates, North Dakota and a proud member of The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.

Michelle Harris

Michelle is a Forensic Interviewer and Trainer at CornerHouse, conducting forensic interviews for children and adults while also contributing to professional education in the field. With experience in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Florida, Michelle has conducted over 3,000 forensic interviews and served as an expert witness in hearings and trials. She has also led hundreds of Child Protection investigations. Over the past 15 years, her work has included prevention, community outreach, crisis intervention, case management, and supporting at-risk youth.

Emma Schroer

Emma joined the CornerHouse Forensic Interviewing team in 2021 after serving as a Child & Family Advocate since October 2019. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Legal Studies and Political Science from Beloit College and a Master’s in Human Services with an emphasis in Forensic Behavioral Health at Concordia University in St. Paul. Before CornerHouse, Emma worked at a youth residential treatment facility, serving adolescent boys with serious mental illness and high behavioral needs, where she helped design and implement an Aftercare Program to reduce recidivism.

Julie Stauffer

Julie is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Social Work. She joined CornerHouse in 2006 as a Forensic Interviewer and Trainer and now serves as the Lead Forensic Interviewer. Julie conducts forensic interviews with children, adolescents, and vulnerable adults, and provides training on forensic interviewing at local, national, and international levels. She also testifies as an expert witness, has authored articles on forensic interviewing, and helps develop The CornerHouse Forensic Interview Protocol™.

Stephanie Randolph

Stephanie is a Forensic Interviewer and Trainer at CornerHouse in Minneapolis, MN. She earned her Master of Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University and worked as a forensic interviewer and trainer in Kansas City, MO, before joining CornerHouse in 2019. Stephanie has conducted around 2,000 forensic interviews involving cases of suspected sexual abuse, physical abuse, witness to violent crimes, and sexual exploitation. She has also trained hundreds of multidisciplinary team members globally on best practices in forensic interviewing and emerging issues in child abuse. Prior to CornerHouse, she worked as a Victim Assistant Specialist with the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center.

Izzy Flory

Izzy joined CornerHouse in 2024 and holds a master’s degree in Sociology from McGill University. While at McGill, Izzy conducted research on best practices in forensic interviewing with children from diverse backgrounds. Her experience also includes working with adult victim-survivors of sexual violence and supporting children and adults in Canada’s welfare systems.
